BMW Team Brasil has announced it will test with Nelson Piquet Jr. and Caca Bueno next week, as it prepares itself for a season in the Blancpain Sprint Series.
The Brazilian team led by Antonio Hermann will participate in a private test at Nogaro on Monday, before joining the official Blancpain GT Series test days at Paul Ricard on Wednesday.
While Bueno is already a familiar face, NASCAR and former Formula One driver Piquet Jr. is a big name the team is hoping to get a hold of.
The son of three-time Formula One world champion Nelson Piquet already came close to racing for the team at the Baku World Challenge season finale of the FIA GT Series last year.
BMW Team Brasil will announce the full lineups and plans for the coming season at the beginning of April, but the team already told Sportscar365 last year that it would focus on returning to the series this year, along with a possible attack on the 24 Hours of Spa.
