NSC Motorsports will join the Blancpain Sprint Series grid at Circuit Zolder this weekend, as the local team enters a Lamborghini Gallardo FL2 GT3 for Nick Catsburg and Peter Kox with the support of Reiter Engineering.
The Belgian team only made the final decision earlier today, as it sees the opportunity for a good result at its home track.
“Circuit Zolder should suit the car, we’re aiming for a podium with this lineup,” said team owner Thierry Verstraete, who’ll be stepping aside as a driver this weekend.
Syntix Brand Manager Nick Catsburg already competed with the team in local series earlier this year and will by joined by experienced Reiter racer Peter Kox.
“I’m very happy to get this opportunity from Thierry Verstraete, NSC Motorsport and Reiter Engineering,” said Catsburg.
“It’s quite exciting to go racing with Peter Kox in this competitive series, we both know the car and circuit well.”
Kox won the FIA GT Series round at the Belgian circuit last year in a Reiter run Lamborghini, narrowly beating the WRT Audi of Laurens Vanthoor and Stéphane Ortelli.
The late addition of NSC Motorsports brings the total number of entrants in Zolder up to 24, with four Lamborghini Gallardos now on the grid.
