Adam Christodoulou and Marcel Fassler are among a group of several drivers who will fill in for DTM-bound racers in the Blancpain GT Series Endurance Cup round at Silverstone this weekend.
Christodoulou, who finished runner-up in the Nürburgring 24 last weekend, will replace Daniel Juncadella in the No. 88 AKKA ASP Mercedes-AMG GT3 with the Spaniard on DTM duty at EuroSpeedway Lausitz.
The Brit will co-drive with Raffaele Marciello and Tristan Vautier, despite the entry list currently listing Juncadella and Marciello as his co-pilots.
Similarly, Fassler has been called up as a replacement for Robin Frijns in the No. 17 Belgian Audi Club Team WRT entry as the Dutchman misses his second consecutive Blancpain GT round.
Fassler will therefore join Sheldon van der Linde and Stuart Leonard in the No. 17 Audi R8 LMS GT3.
Strakka Racing has also had a shake-up between its two Pro Cup-entered Mercedes GT3s, with Lucas Auer another driver focusing on DTM.
Oliver Rowland and Thomas Jaeger have joined the Silverstone-based team to drive the No. 44 car alongside Adrian Tambay, while David Fumanelli has moved across to the No. 43 entry.
Fumanelli replaces Alvaro Parente and will co-drive with Maxi Buhk and Maxi Goetz.
In total, 51 cars are set to tackle the three-hour race at the Northamptonshire circuit, down from 54 at Monza last month.
The No. 11 Kessel Racing Ferrari 488 GT3 is currently listed on the provisional entry list but won’t race as a result of Michael Broniszewski’s injuries from the Italian round and also forced him to skip the Brands Hatch Sprint Cup races two weeks ago.
Neither the ARC Bratislava nor 961 Corse cars from Monza are entered.
Of note, ROWE Racing has completely changed the lineup of its No. 99 BMW M6 GT3 to include BMW Team RLL drivers John Edwards and Connor De Phillippi, plus Nick Yelloly.
On-track action at Silverstone gets underway with the Bronze Test on Friday afternoon while the race is scheduled for 3 p.m. local time on Sunday.
