GPX Racing will run two Porsche factory driver lineups in the GT World Challenge Europe powered by AWS Endurance Cup, having revealed more details of its expanded effort for 2020.
As reported by Sportscar365 last month, the Dubai-based team will campaign two Porsche 911 GT3 Rs at the five European enduros in GTWC, along with another car in the Intercontinental GT Challenge powered by Pirelli.
It has confirmed plans to run a number of Porsche works drivers throughout the season, effectively taking a similar role to that of ROWE Racing last year.
Patrick Pilet, Mathieu Jaminet and Matt Campbell will share the No. 12 car, while Romain Dumas, Thomas Preining and Dennis Olsen will drive its other car, carrying No. 40.
This marks an increase in the team’s Pro effort since January, when team principal Pierre-Brice Mena told Sportscar365 to expect one Pro car and one Silver entry.
The team only ran one car full-season last year and competed in the Silver Cup at all rounds except Spa, which it won with a Pro lineup of Kevin Estre, Michael Christensen and Richard Lietz.
GPX has yet to confirm drivers for its IGTC car, which will compete at every round starting at Spa.
