HAAS RT is set for its debut outing in the CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa with a two-car Audi effort, including a Pro entry.
The Antiguan-flagged, Belgian-based squad will field two Audi R8 LMS GT3 Evo IIs in the Centenary edition of the Ardennes endurance classic, which will take place on June 26-30.
One of the two Audis is set to compete for overall honors with a Pro entry, although lineups for both cars will be confirmed at a later date.
The Spa event will not be HAAS RT’s first Intercontinental GT Challenge appearance, as it took part in last year’s Lenovo Gulf 12 Hours.
The team made its sports car racing debut at last year’s Hankook 24H Dubai and has been a regular in the Hankook 24H Series ever since.
It is currently in the midst of its second year of GT3 competition, securing an overall podium in last weekend’s Hankook 12H Spa-Francorchamps and taking its maiden victory at Mugello last year.
Team principal Kris Dedoncker previously indicated to Sportscar365 that the team eyed an entry into the 24H Spa as early as last year, although such a program failed to materialize at that time
It has experience running a two-car effort, doing so in both the 24H Dubai and the 6H Abu Dhabi earlier this year.
Audi was represented in the Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe powered by AWS Endurance Cup opener at Paul Ricard by a single car, entered by Tresor Attempto Racing for Ricardo Feller, Christopher Haase and Alex Aka.
