HTP Motorsport has confirmed the number of cars it will enter in the 2017 Blancpain GT Series, expanding its operation even further for its Blancpain GT title defense.

The German squad will enter three Mercedes-AMG GT3 for all ten rounds of the Blancpain GT Series and a fourth car for the Endurance Cup rounds only.

After a one-year stint with Bentley in 2015, HTP competed with only two cars in the Endurance Cup and three cars in the Sprint Cup last year, claiming the overall driver and team titles, while ending the Endurance Cup standing on the same number of points as Garage 59.

The driver lineups will be announced within the the next two weeks, although it was already confirmed that Maxi Buhk will race for the team in the full Blancpain GT Series.

After a year-long absence, HTP will also field two Mercedes-AMG in the rival ADAC GT Masters series.
