Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe powered by AWS Endurance Cup will not return to Jeddah Corniche Circuit for a second year in 2025, with the series opting to return the Barcelona round to season finale status instead.

Confirmed as part of an updated 2025 calendar issued on Sunday, SRO Motorsports Group outlined that Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya will host the Endurance Cup finale with a three-hour race held on Oct. 10-12.

That event was previously earmarked to host the Sprint Cup finale instead and notably looks set to clash with the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship’s Motul Petit Le Mans.

The Paul Ricard season opener, set for April 11-13, will see its format changed to run as a six-hour race instead.

The championship had not yet confirmed a date and location for the Endurance Cup finale when it first presented the provisional calendar at last month’s CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa.

At the time, SRO founder and CEO Stephane Ratel said that the series wanted to first evaluate the inaugural edition of its Jeddah season finale before locking in the final slot on the calendar for 2025.

However, organizers have now made the decision to not return to Jeddah in 2025, meaning the event will only have a one-year presence on the calendar as teams were told on Saturday that the inaugural edition is set to go ahead as planned later this year.

The other change to the 2025 schedule is the return of Magny-Cours, which initially looked set to drop off the calendar when it was revealed in June.

Instead, it will host the penultimate round of the Sprint Cup season on Aug. 1-3.
