Madpanda Motorsport has opted to pull the plug on its Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe powered by AWS Endurance Cup program with two races to go, instead focusing on its Sprint Cup commitments for the remainder of the season.

The Argentinean-flagged, Spanish-based squad ran its No. 90 Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo in the Silver Cup for the first three rounds at Paul Ricard, Spa-Francorchamps and Nürburgring.

Team principal Ezequiel Perez Companc and Patrick Assenheimer raced as a duo for the Paul Ricard opener and were then joined by a rotating cast of drivers including Karol Basz, Alain Valente and Tom Kalender.

“We have decided to bring our Endurance Cup program to an early closure,” the team wrote in a statement on social media.

“We would like to thank SRO for the privilege of being part of this championship, and our fans and sponsors for their unconditional support.

“We look forward to completing our Sprint Cup campaign at Barcelona, and to competing in the Endurance Cup again in the future!”

The Endurance Cup season continues with a three-hour round at Monza next weekend before its finale at the Jeddah Corniche Circuit on Nov. 29-30.

The Sprint Cup season, meanwhile, will conclude at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya on Oct. 12-13.
