Lorenzo Patrese has been brought in to replace Christopher Haase at Tresor Attempto Racing for this weekend’s Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe powered by AWS Sprint Cup round at Hockenheim.
As shown on the 33-car entry list for the third round of the sprint championship, Patrese will team up with Lorenzo Ferrari aboard the No. 88 Audi R8 LMS GT3 Evo II. The entry will move from Pro to the Gold Cup as a result of the lineup change.
Patrese and Ferrari are already teammates in the Endurance Cup, where they share a car with Leonardo Moncini for the longer races. Attempto, meanwhile, has one car remaining in the Pro class: the No. 99 Audi for Ricardo Feller and Alex Aka.
The Sprint Cup field is down three cars from the previous round at Misano, where 36 cars took part.
Team WRT’s No. 46 BMW M4 GT3 does not return at Hockenheim as Misano was the second and final round where Valentino Rossi and Maxime Martin were set to make a guest appearance alongside their ongoing commitments in the Endurance Cup and the FIA World Endurance Championship.
The Vincent Vosse-led squad remains represented by two cars at Hockenheim: the points-leading No. 32 car for Dries Vanthoor and Charles Weerts as well as its No. 30 Silver Cup entry driven by Sam de Haan and Calan Williams.
The two other cars not competing at Hockenheim are the No. 11 Comtoyou Racing Aston Martin Vantage GT3 Evo and the No. 54 Dinamic GT Porsche 911 GT3 R, both of which raced in the Bronze Cup at Misano.
Elsewhere on the entry list, Marcus Paverud replaces Gilles Stadsbader aboard the No. 26 Sainteloc Racing Audi, teaming up with Ivan Klymenko.
Miguel Ramos is due to rejoin the lineup of the No. 188 McLaren 720S GT3 Evo alongside Louis Prette, having missed the previous round as he recovered from surgery.
The Portuguese Bronze-rated driver was replaced at Misano and the Endurance Cup opener at Paul Ricard by James Cottingham, but already returned to racing at last month’s CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa.
