Recently signed BMW factory driver Jordan Pepper will join defending GT World Challenge Europe powered by AWS champions Kelvin van der Linde and Charles Weerts in Team WRT’s No. 32 BMW M4 GT3 EVO for the Endurance Cup races, it has been revealed.
The South African, who won on his BMW debut in last month’s Michelin 24H Dubai, replaces Ugo de Wilde in the Pro class lineup, despite he, van der Linde and Weerts having teamed for victory in the opening Endurance Cup round of the season last year at Paul Ricard.
Van der Linde and Weerts, meanwhile, are again locked in for the full season, also in their Sprint Cup title defense.
The announcement of the Belgian squad’s No. 32 BMW entry comes two weeks after the No. 46 car, featuring Valentino Rossi, was confirmed, which will see the motorcycle legend return full-time to SRO competition, alongside Max Hesse, with Dan Harper completing the squad for the five Endurance Cup races.
Additional BMW entries from the Vincent Vosse-led squad are expected to be announced in the coming weeks ahead of April’s season opener in France.
