Pereira Quickest in Magny-Cours Pre-Qualifying

Dylan Pereira set the fastest time for Tresor Attempto Racing in GT World Challenge Europe powered by AWS Sprint Cup Pre-Qualifying at Magny-Cours.

The Luxembourg racer went quickest in a session that initially started out in damp conditions but gradually dried out, with lap times improving rapidly in the closing minutes.

Pereira eventually jumped to the top with a 1:40.837 aboard the No. 66 Audi R8 LMS GT3 Evo II he shares with Andrey Mukovoz, also leading Bronze Cup in the process.

Romain Andriolo was second in the No. 64 Ford Mustang GT3, 0.404 seconds off the fastest time.

Half of the top ten was made up by Bronze Cup contenders, with Lionspeed GP picking up third and fourth with its pair of Porsche 911 GT3 Rs piloted by Bastian Buus and Ricardo Feller, respectively.

Loris Spinelli completed the overall top five in the No. 85 Imperiale Racing Lamborghini Huracan GT3 EVO2, ahead of Eddie Cheever III at the wheel of the No. 93 Ziggo Sport Tempesta Racing Ferrari 296 GT3.

Kelvin van der Linde slotted into seventh in the No. 32 Team WRT BMW M4 GT3 EVO, followed by Konsta Lappalainen’s No. 14 Emil Frey Racing Ferrari.

Simon Gachet’s No. 111 CSA Racing McLaren 720S GT3 Evo and the No. 78 Barwell Motorsport Lamborghini piloted by Sandy Mitchell rounded out the overall top ten.

Mitchell was one spot ahead of the Gold Cup-leading sister Lamborghini in the hands of Ricky Collard, while Kobe Pauwels topped Silver Cup in twelfth overall in the No. 21 Comtoyou Racing Aston Martin Vantage GT3 Evo.

Qualifying for the opening Sprint Cup race of the weekend kicks off Saturday at 2:45 p.m. CEST (2:55 p.m. EST).
