Phantom Global Racing has announced it will participate in the CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa with a Porsche 911 GT3 R.

The Chinese squad, which has support from Timo Bernhard’s Team 75 outfit, will be making its second appearance in the Intercontinental GT Challenge following a strong fourth-place finish on its debut in the Repco Bathurst 12 Hour back in February.

Sharing driving duties will be factory Porsche driver Thomas Preining and two members of Phantom Global’s Bathurst lineup, Jaxon Evans and Joel Eriksson.

It will mark a 24H Spa debut for Eriksson, who is a full-time driver for Phantom Global’s Fanatec GT World Challenge Asia powered by AWS assault.

“It’s great to finally get the opportunity to race in the legendary Spa 24 race and with such team and teammates,” said team director Martin Young. “It’s been a dream since a very long time to take part in this race and to finally being able to do it feels surreal.

“I believe we are in a very good position for a strong result and I’m very much looking forward to get my first taste of our package next week on the official test days.”

Preining joins for Phantom Global for the first time, but he raced in the DTM with Team 75 in 2022 before switching to Manthey for his title-winning 2023 campaign.

Porsche Motorsport Asia Pacific managing director Alexandre Gibot added: “After a fantastic debut for Phantom Global Racing earlier this year at the Bathurst 12 Hour, we are happy to once again work with the team as they take on their second Intercontinental GT Challenge race.

“Phantom Global Racing have put together a competitive line-up together with Thomas, Jaxon and Joel, and I’m really looking forward to seeing the team take on the Prologue next week in advance of the main event in just over a month from now.”
