Two new teams will join the Blancpain GT Series Endurance Cup in 2017, with HB Racing and Walkenhorst set to embark on their first season in the pan-European championship.
Walkenhorst Motorsport will enter two BMW M6 GT3s in all five rounds of the series, adding to the two BMWs already confirmed by 2016 Spa 24 Hours winners ROWE Racing.
The German VLN specialists have already mastered the car on the Nürburgring Nordschleife, improving the qualifying laptime record on several occasions and scoring multiple podium finishes last year.
Furthermore, HB Racing’s intention to join the Blancpain GT Series Endurance Cup has now been confirmed by the organizers.
The Austrian team will field a single Lamborghini Huracán GT3 and will combine its Endurance Cup effort with commitments in the ADAC GT Masters.
There are no clashes between both series in 2017.
All driver lineups will be announced in the coming weeks.
