SUPER GT has announced revised dates for its third round of the upcoming season at Sepang International Circuit.
The Japanese series published an updated calendar on Friday that sees its sole overseas event moving from its original date of June 19-20 to June 20-21, with qualifying taking place on the Saturday and what is expected to be a 300km race on Sunday.
It marks a change from this year’s Sepang race, SUPER GT’s first at the Malaysian track since 2013, which featured a Saturday race with qualifying taking place on Friday.
SUPER GT opted to move the Sepang race forward by a week for 2026 to avert a clash with the CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa, which takes place the following week.
The remainder of the eight-round 2026 schedule remains unchanged.
News of the Sepang date change follows on from this week’s announcement regarding SUPER GT’s plans for its official pre-season tests at Okayama and Fuji.
Prior to that, Sepang will play host to four days of GT500 makers’ testing starting on Jan. 22, marking the first on-track running of the season.
