Nick Catsburg and Albert von Thurn und Taxis will team up in one of the Reiter Engineering Lamborghini Gallardo Extensos in the Blancpain Sprint Series this season.
Catsburg will fully combine the seven-round series with his program in the Pirelli World Challenge, as there are no clashes between both series.
After an absence of two years during which he competed in the German ADAC GT Masters, von Thurn und Taxis will make his full-time return to the Blancpain Series this season.
“I am greatly looking forward to finally returning to this wonderful Championship,” stated the Bavarian Prince.
“It is a true pleasure to be driving with Nick, who, despite being a bloody fast pilot, is a kind and pleasant character and doubtlessly a great asset for our team.”
Team owner Hans Reiter will personally fulfill the role of Chief Engineer.
“Unfortunately, Albert has forced me to be his Chief Engineer! Despite being honored, I’m not sure if this really represents an advantage to the operation, knowing that we have better engineers at Reiter Engineering,” Reiter added.
The German squad has also entered a second Gallardo R-EX in the Sprint Series, with a yet to be confirmed lineup.
