The Pirelli World Challenge SprintX series will see an influx of entries for this weekend’s event at Utah Motorsports Campus, with a total of 12 cars provisionally entered for the third and fourth rounds of the new-for-2016 championship.

ENTRY LIST: Utah

While inaugural race winners Mills Racing heads into Utah with an unchanged lineup of Michael Mills and Kuno Wittmer in its BMW Z4 GT3, they’ll face stiff competition from two new arrivals and a consolidated effort from another leading team.

Calvert Dynamics will make its SprintX debut, with its No. 77 Porsche 911 GT3 R for Andrew Davis and Preston Calvert, which is also entered in this weekend’s GTA race with Calvert.

DXDT Racing, regulars in the Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo North America series, is set for its first PWC outing with David Askew and James Burke at the wheel of an Audi R8 LMS ultra, while M1 GT Racing scales back to a single Audi for Walt Bowlin and David Ostella.

James Sofronas will make his SprintX debut in the No. 14 GMG Racing Porsche, alongside Brent Holden, with GMG also fielding two Porsche 911 GT3 Cup cars in the GT Cup class.

Five cars, meanwhile, are set to do battle for GTS class honors, with Performance Motorsports Group entering its two Ginetta G50 GT4s for Parker Chase and Harry Gottsacker.

Both TRG-AMR and Racers Edge Motorsports also return after the CTMP event with its Aston Martin Vantage GT4 and SIN R1 GT4 machinery, respectively.

The No. 07 TRG Aston Martin of Max Riddle, as well as the two Ginettas and single SIN are also entered for the standalone GTS races.

A total of 24 cars, meanwhile, are entered for the GT/GTA/GT Cup races with no major changes up front since the last round at Mid-Ohio.

The GT Cup class gets a boost for Utah with the addition of a Wright Motorsports Porsche for McKay Snow, brother of IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship driver Madison, with Alex Welch also returning to the class in an additional GMG Porsche.

Sofronas and Holden, meanwhile, are listed to split driving duties of the No. 14 Porsche over the weekend as well.

Testing for all PWC classes gets underway on Thursday, with GT/GTA/GT Cup and SprintX races scheduled for Saturday and Sunday at the circuit formerly known as Miller Motorsports Park.

Unlike the traditional 50-minute, single driver Sprint format, SprintX features 60 minute races with mandatory pit stops and driver changes.
