Rebel Rock Racing will expand to a four-car operation in the Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge, having announced Monday a new ST class entry for this weekend’s round at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca.

The Florida-based squad will field the No. 87 Porsche Cayman for Miles Maroney and Al Carter, who is set to pull double-duty between the ST and the team’s No. 7 GS-class Porsche 997.

“I’m  excited about our Rebel Rock race weekend, as not only is my and Brett Sandberg’s No. 7 Porsche primed and ready, but our Rebel Rock team expands to four cars,” Carter said. “We have some cool, young, fast talent joining the Rebel Rock family with the addition of Corey Lewis and Miles Maroney.”

Team owner Jim Jonsin, meanwhile, will team with Corey Lewis in the No. 88 Porsche Cayman in ST, while Canadians Kyle Marcelli and Martin Barkley will again pilot the No. 8 Porsche in the GS class.

Rebel Rock’s expanded effort is among the 60 entries for Saturday’s race. CTSC testing gets underway on Thursday.
