Jeroen Bleekemolen and Hunter Abbott are set to join Barwell Motorsport for the Blancpain GT Series Endurance Cup finale at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya this weekend.
Bleekemolen will team up with Leo Machitski and Richard Abra in the team’s No. 78 Lamborghini Huracan GT3, replacing Miguel Ramos who will be otherwise engaged at the International GT Open round.
Abbott, meanwhile, will fill in for Adrian Amstutz in the No. 77 car alongside Martin Kodric and Patrick Kujala while Amstutz is still recovering from his injuries sustained during the Total 24 Hours of Spa in July.
Both drivers have one Blancpain GT appearance each so far this season. The Dutchman drove for Black Falcon at Spa, while Abbott joined HTP Motorsport for the Silverstone race.
Fifty-one cars are on the entry list for the season-ending three-hour race in northern Spain where both the Endurance Cup and overall Blancpain GT titles will be decided.
ENTRY LIST: Barcelona
Mirko Bortolotti and Christian Engelhart have a 22-point lead over Vincent Abril in the overall standings, with 26 points up for grabs.
The Endurance Cup standings are reversed, however, with Abril and Bentley Team M-Sport co-drivers Andy Soucek and Maxime Soulet enjoying an eight-point lead over Bortolotti, Engelhart and Andrea Caldarelli.
Robin Frijns and Stuart Leonard clinched the Sprint Cup title earlier this month at the Nürburgring.
On-track action will kick off on Friday ahead of the three-hour race which will get underway at 3 p.m. local time on Sunday.
