Kaminskey Powers to Comeback Win in Race 1 at Sebring

Teenager Johnny Kaminskey continues winning ways in Saturday’s opening round of weekend at Sebring…

Sunny skies reigned over Sebring International Raceway on Saturday, and also over the Ferrari Challenge North America competitors as they took on Round 3 of the season.

Trofeo Pirelli

Johnny Kaminskey (Ferrari of Long Island) stormed back for a victory after starting from the Trofeo Pirelli pole position and persevering through a mid-race setback.

Five minutes into the contest, Kaminskey and second-place Roberto Perrina (Ferrari of Seattle) made contact fighting for the lead, sending both Ferrari 296 Challenge race cars spinning.

Kaminskey dropped to third, but rallied to first again with just over 10 minutes remaining.

The teenager’s victory comes on the heels of his first series win in March at The Thermal Club.

Brad Fauvre (Ferrari of San Francisco) took over the race during Kaminskey’s rebound and ultimately finished second. Brian Cook (Ferrari of Seattle) finished third.

In the Trofeo Pirelli Am class, Esteban Beckmann earned his first Ferrari Challenge win of the season with Ferrari of Seattle.

Beckmann’s race was just as exciting as the young driver ran with Trofeo Pirelli competitors en route to his flag-to-flag victory, and he finished third overall.

It was not only Beckmann’s first win in the series, but also his first time on the podium after a season-best finish of fourth in 2025.

Mitchell Green (Ferrari Westlake) finished second for his best result through three rounds, and Kevin Orsini (Ferrari of Fort Lauderdale) survived a late duel with Yahn Bernier (Ferrari of Seattle) to finish third.

Coppa Shell

Blake Rosser (Ferrari of San Diego) remains undefeated in the season, but only by car-lengths on Saturday at Sebring, and also under intense pressure.

After capturing the Coppa Shell pole position earlier in the day, Rosser exchanged the class lead with Andrew Parker (Ferrari of Naples) for a handful of turns with less than ten minutes on the clock.

The cars slipped and slid on the bumpy Sebring track before the checkered flag, which found Parker 0.624 seconds behind Rosser, and Charlie Menard (Twin Cities Performance) in third by 1.599 seconds.

After sweeping the opening rounds – albeit in the Coppa Shell Am class – at Thermal in March, it was Rosser’s third consecutive series win.

In Coppa Shell Am, Melissa Kozyra (Ferrari of Naples) sailed from pole position to the class win, her first on North American soil after winning at Finali Mondiali in Mugello last season.

Kozyra ran nearly uncontested in Saturday’s half-hour race, but had championship rival Fabian Sperman (The Collection) on her heels in second place.

It was Sperman’s third consecutive runner-up finish this season, and Tim Duit (Ferrari Dallas) matched his best performance of 2026 in third place.

Sunday Schedule

Qualifying starts Sunday morning’s activities at Sebring International Raceway at 9:35 a.m. ET prior to the final races of the event. The Coppa Shell round goes green at 1:50 p.m., followed by Trofeo Pirelli at 2:55 p.m.
