NASCAR Xfinity Series race winner Sammy Smith will make his IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge debut, joining Van der Steur for the BMW M Endurance Challenge at Daytona.

The 20-year-old spent the 2024 season racing for JR Motorsports and has already been confirmed to be staying with the team co-owned by Dale Earnhardt Jr for a second season in Xfinity.

He will share Van der Steur’s Aston Martin Vantage GT4 with Brady Behrman, who returns to the team’s Pilot Challenge lineup after teaming with Scott Blind last year.

This upcoming season will mark the first time that Van der Steur Racing will combine its Pilot Challenge effort with an Aston Martin GTD entry in the Michelin Endurance Cup.

The team recently finalized its lineup for the Rolex 24 at Daytona, with Anthony McIntosh and Maxime Robin coming on board for the Florida endurance classic.
