Brown, Dupont Join Bryan Herta Autosport

Preston Brown and Denis Dupont will switch from Audi to Hyundai machinery by joining Bryan Herta Autosport in the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge next year.

The two drivers will share the No. 76 Hyundai Elantra N TCR for the Bryan Herta-led squad, which secured a fifth consecutive Pilot Challenge title earlier this year.

Both Brown and Dupont will make the move to the Korean manufacturer after competing at the wheel of the Audi RS3 LMS TCR over the past two seasons, first with Belgard & Techniseal Racing and then at Rockwell Autosport Development.

“We are pleased to welcome Preston and Denis to the team, I am confident they will give us another strong combination on race day and look forward to seeing them integrate within our group,” said Herta.

Canada-based Belgian racer Dupont, meanwhile, has some experience with Hyundai from his debut season in 2021, where he raced for Van Der Steur Racing aboard a Hyundai Veloster N TCR.

“Upon arriving in the U.S., it became apparent that BHA and Hyundai set the benchmark in TCR. I am thrilled to be a part of their team,” said Dupont.

“This new chapter will feel familiar as I’ll be sharing the car with Preston, with whom I’ve been working for a little while now.”

Co-driver Brown turned his first laps behind the wheel of the Elantra during a test at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta.

“After two years in IMSA Pilot Challenge, I am thrilled for the opportunity to race with the competitive package BHA offers with the Elantra N TCR,” Brown added.

“Our recent two-day test at Road Atlanta proved that the car and team have what it takes to propel me forward on the next step in my racing journey.”
