Creventic has revealed a provisional entry list for the Michelin 12H Spa-Francorchamps which will see its 24H European Series grid expand to 44 cars, with six Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evos set to line up on the Spa grid alone.
The No. 28 GetSpeed Team PCX Racing Mercedes-AMG, which took pole position in the season-opening 12H Mugello, will return to competition at Spa.
Its sister car, the No. 286 GetSpeed Team JR286-branded Mercedes-AMG, will also be on the grid.
The full-season entry which features Tamil acting superstar Ajith Kumar – Ajith RedAnt Racing – will return to Spa after a disappointing ninth-place finish in Mugello.
HOFOR Racing finished on the overall GT3 podium in last year’s event. It will field a single Mercedes-AMG alongside Viper Niza Racing and MP Racing Team.
HAAS RT will seek to overturn the misfortune it suffered in Mugello with its Audi R8 LMS GT3 Evo II in Spa. The Belgian team had an impressive start to the race and even led into the overnight intervention, but steering damage in the final hours saw the team drop down the order.
A second Audi will be entered by Continental Racing by Simpson Motorsport, which took a Pro-Am GT3 podium in Mugello.
Herberth Motorsport will return to Spa fresh from the tense last-hour battle for the lead in Mugello. Its Porsche 911 GT3 R Evo finished just under six seconds from victory.
Last year’s series champions Proton Competition will also return with its No. 73 Porsche.
Two Ferrari 296 GT3s are set to contest the race as well. Era Motorsport’s full-season entry will be joined on the grid by the No. 29 Ferrari of Pellin Racing.
Three teams will field Aston Martin’s Vantage GT3 in the Belgian endurance event. E2P Racing, which has previously won the 12H Spa in the GT3 Pro-Am category, will be joined by a pair of Aston Martins from Comtoyou Racing.
The McLaren name will return to 24H Series competition in Spa with a single McLaren 720S GT3 Evo from Optimum Motorsport.
ARC Bratislava and its No. 44 Lamborghini Huracan GT3 EVO will hope to repeat its result from Mugello, having scored an overall podium and a GT3-Am class victory.
The 992 class will see the return of the No. 921 Porsche 911 GT3 Cup of Mühlner Motorsport and the No. 909 Porsche of Red Camel-Jordans.nl. Both teams jostled for position throughout the Michelin 12H Mugello, with Mühlner eventually taking class honors.
922-Am class victors QMMF by HRT Performance will also return in Spa, alongside two other HRT Performance Porsches.
Holmgaard Motorsport, MM Racing, Crubilé Sport and Escuderia Faraon will join the 992 class, which is set to grow to 13 cars in Spa.
Vortex will enter two of its Vortex 2.0s at Spa, having taken victory in Mugello with its No. 701 entry.
Both cars will compete in the GTX class against Speed Lover’s No. 778 Porsche 911 GT3 Cup.
The GT4 class is set to return to the 24H Series with three cars in Spa. Team Sorg Rennsport will compete with its Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport, while Circuit Toys will enter a Toyota GR Supra GT4 EVO2.
The No. 478 Ginetta G56 GT4 of CWS Engineering will complete the class.
The TCE-TCX class will expand to six entries at Spa. Series-regulars asBest Racing will enter its No. 102 SEAT Leon Cup Racer which won in Mugello, alongside a pair of Cupra TSR DSG cars.
Not Only Motorsport will revive its rivalry with asBest Racing at Spa. The Italian team fought for the win in Mugello with its Ligier JS2 R before a mechanical failure forced it to drop behind asBest’s SEAT.
J-Mec Engineering returns to the 24H Series with its BMW M3 (E46). The British team took a class victory at Spa last year.
JW Raceservice will complete the TCE-TCX class with its Audi RS 3 LMS DSG.
The second round of the Michelin 24H Series kicks off on April 17-19 at Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps.
The 12-hour race will take part across two days, with the first five-and-a-half hours taking place on Saturday, before an overnight intervention and the final six-and-a-half hours concluding the race on Sunday.
