The IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship and Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge visit Virginia International Raceway this weekend for a packed GT-only weekend of racing.

Continental Tire Keys to the Race: 

Race: Michelin GT Challenge at VIR

Track: Virginia International Raceway

Length: 2 hours and 40 minutes

Entries: 21 cars spread across two classes: 9 cars (GTLM), 12 cars (GTD)

Schedule:

Friday, Aug. 26 (all times ET)
Practice 1 – 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
Practice 2 – 3:35 – 4:35 p.m.

Saturday, Aug. 27
Practice 3 – 8 – 9 a.m.
Qualifying – 11:55 a.m. – 12:35 p.m.
CTSC Race – 1:55 – 4:25 p.m. (2 hours, 30 minutes)

Sunday,  Aug. 28
Warm-up – 8:05 – 8:25 a.m.
Race –  1:35 – 4:15 p.m. (2 hours, 40 minutes)

Driver Insight: “I really like VIR. I think it’s a classic, old-school American circuit. There are corners and quick flow, so you really have to be precise because the track is a bit bumpy in some places. It’s probably going to be a challenge for the team because of the super-long straights. We may face some difficulty in following the other cars, but the team has done a great job with setting up the car.” – Christina Nielsen, Driver No. 63 Scuderia Corsa Ferrari 488 GT3
