Kingpin Racing will increase its involvement in IMSA competition this year, having confirmed programs in both Michelin Pilot Challenge and VP Racing SportsCar Challenge with Toyota GR Supra GT4 EVO2s.

The Georgia-based team, which scored victory in its IMSA debut weekend at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta last year in the VP Challenge GSX class, will field a Toyota for Rob Walker, Satakal Khalsa and David Hodge in this month’s four-hour season opener at Daytona International Speedway, alongside a GSX class entry in VP Challenge.

Both Walker and Khalsa previously worked together in Pirelli GT4 America in 2023 with AutoTechnic Racing, as well as under the Kingpin banner last year.

“We are excited to bring the Kingpin name to IMSA for 2025,” said team principal Tyler Hoffman.

“We are still ironing out this year’s schedule, but we are looking forward to running our Toyota Supra GT4 EVO2s in VP and Michelin [Pilot] Challenge.

“We integrated the Toyotas into our WRL program early in 2024, which led us to the opportunity to race one of them at Petit – resulting in two podiums, finishing first and third, giving us much confidence in the car.

“It’s a great platform and Mike Norem [Toyota Gazoo Racing North America customer racing manager] and his team at Toyota have been exceptional to work with.”
