Random Vandals Racing has confirmed a two-car BMW M4 GT4 EVO effort for its return to IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge.

The Paul Sparta-led effort, which was last present on the grid in 2024 in partnership with Team ACP-Tangerine, will field its No. 92 entry for Robert Megennis and the previously announced 2026-27 IMSA Diverse Driver Development Scholarship winner Nicky Hays.

A second BMW will run under the ST Racing by Random Vandals Racing banner for Samantha Tan and BMW factory driver Bill Auberlen.

“I have known Rob for a while, so I am really pleased to finally get him in a Vandals car,” said Sparta. “We are chuffed to have Nicky as Rob’s teammate. Nicky put in some great drives last year in Super Trofeo, so I can’t wait to see how Rob and Nicky will go in our M4.

“The collaboration between ST Racing and Random Vandals is going to be great fun. It already feels like we’ve been working together for a while and I have full confidence that Sam and Bill will be on it immediately fighting for podiums and wins.”

Hays added: “Rob and I have been friends for a while, and reuniting as teammates in sports cars is special. His experience in the GS class will be a huge asset.

“RVR had a strong 2025 season, and I’m excited to build on that momentum in 2026. Thank you to IMSA and Paul Sparta at RVR for bringing this program together.”

Megennis took part in the WeatherTech SportsCar Championship sprint races this year in Gradient Racing’s Ford Mustang GT3 in parallel to a season-long Pilot Challenge program in one of CSM’s Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS cars and is now set to return to BMW machinery for 2026.

He finished fifth in the GS class championship in 2014 aboard a Turner Motorsport BMW.

“RVR is a team that’s had a lot of success and wins over the last few years, and I know we’ll have all the tools to continue that form,” said Megennis.

Tan, who made her IMSA debut in VP Racing SportsCar Challenge GTDX competition this year, will return to GT4 machinery after several seasons in BMW M4 GT3s, including previously in GT World Challenge America powered by AWS.

“I’m incredibly excited to step into the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge GS class for the 2026 season,” said Tan. “It’s one of the most competitive GT4 championships in North America and it feels like the right challenge at this point in my career.

“Being able to share the car with Bill Auberlen makes this opportunity even more special — he’s a true BMW legend and having the chance to learn from his experience while pushing together at the front is something I’m really looking forward to.

“With the combined strength of ST Racing and Random Vandals Racing, I’m confident we have everything we need to fight for strong results throughout the season.”

Auberlen added: “We have the team, engineer, and obviously an amazing car in the BMW M4 GT4, not to mention my teammate, Sam Tan. She is young, hungry and quick. The Roar can’t come quick enough for me.”

Random Vandals’ Pilot Challenge program is expected to be its only season-long effort in IMSA competition next year, with plans to field a car in the GTD Pro class of the WeatherTech Championship having fallen through.

It instead plans to return to GTWC America with two BMW M4 GT3 EVO entries, including at least one in the Pro class.
