Road Shagger Racing will return to IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge competition with the same Audi RS 3 LMS TCR car and driver lineup of Gavin Ernstone and Jon Morley.
The Las Vegas-based operation finished 8th in the TCR class championship last year despite winning at Sebring in March.
“Road Shagger Racing is back and looking to make sure Herta’s Hyundais finish 2nd-7th in the TCR championship this year,” Morley said in reference to Bryan Herta Autosport’s recently announced six-car effort in the class.
While retaining both drivers as well as chief engineer Erik Petersen, the team will also welcome back strategist, spotter and driver coach Trevor McClure, who was “instrumental” during its 2019 and 2020 campaigns where it finished third and fourth in the standings, respectively.
The team is along the 12 TCR entries on the entry list for next weekend’s Roar Before the Rolex 24, with the official pre-season test not mandatory for Pilot Challenge teams.
