Team TGM has finalized its driver pairings for the IMSA Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge, with Guy Cosmo rejoining team owner Ted Giovanis and new recruit Owen Trinkler teaming up with Hugh Plumb.

The Florida-based team expands into a two car full-season operation this year, fielding Mercedes-AMG GT4s.

All four drivers turned their first laps in the new Mercedes GT4 at Daytona earlier this month, including Giovanis, who has fully recovered from an achilles heel injury that left him on the sidelines in the second half of last year.

“The car was really awesome to drive and I’m glad we had the chance to test it at Daytona,” he said. “We took it right to the track and it just didn’t miss a beat so it helped us be really productive.

“I really like the car! It is a great package and even though it is the first Continental Tire SpotsCar Challenge season for the AMG guys, it was a big confidence boost to get running with this car so we could be prepared for the race at the end of the month.”

Up to ten Mercedes GT4 cars are expected for the four-hour BMW Endurance Challenge on Jan. 26, in the rejuvenated GS class that will also see the series debut of the Audi R8 LMS GT4 and BMW M4 GT4.
