VPX Motorsport will make the move from Pirelli GT4 America to IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge competition next year, fielding its No. 7 Porsche Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport for Danny Dyszelski and Matheus Leist.

The Charlotte-based team will make its Pilot Challenge debut after a full season effort in SRO’s GT4 America, where the team ran with the Silver class pairing of Dyszelski and Alex Ellis.

Dyszelski, 17, has earned 11 podium finishes across Porsche Sprint Challenge and GT4 America competition with the team.

“I’m super excited to make my debut in IMSA Pilot Challenge, can’t think of a better team to do this with than VPX Motorsport,” said Dyszelski.

“I’m very grateful to have a co-driver as talented as Matheus and cannot wait to see how this season goes.”

Leist, who undertook a dual-series campaign in GT4 America and Porsche Carrera Cup North America in Nolasport-entered Porsches, is also confirmed for a full-season effort with VPX.

The Brazilian ex-NTT IndyCar Series driver brings considerable experience to the squad.

“We share a long-term vision and a strong commitment to building something successful together,” he said. “I’m looking forward to teaming up with Danny for this championship and pushing for a very competitive year with multiple wins and podiums.”
