A total of 38 cars are set for next weekend’s Motul Course de Monterey powered by Hyundai N, the fourth round of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship season, marking the return of the LMP2 class and debut of JDC-Miller Motorsports’ Porsche 963.

Eight Oreca 07 Gibsons are set to do battle for the first time since the Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring in March, including the No. 04 CrowdStrike by APR entry of George Kurtz and Ben Hanley, which was not initially confirmed as a full season entrant.

Tower Motorsports will see Louis Deletraz return to the wheel alongside John Farano, who won Sebring with Kyffin Simpson and NTT IndyCar Series star Scott McLaughlin.

Paul Loup Chatin, meanwhile, will be joined by Ben Keating in the No. 52 PR1/Mathiasen Motorsports Oreca, who was initially only tabbed to do the Michelin Endurance Cup races in the car.

Another driver change comes with the addition of Juan Pablo Montoya to Rick Ware Racing’s lineup, alongside Eric Lux.

The GTP class, meanwhile, will feature nine cars for the first time since the season-opening Rolex 24 at Daytona, with JDC-Miller debuting its customer Porsche with drivers Mike Rockenfeller and Tijmen van der Helm.

The pairing are set to contest the remainder of the season in the No. 5 entry.

While GTD Pro remains with its five full season entrants, the GTD class has expanded to a 16-car entry for next weekend, thanks to new and returning entries.

Andretti Autosport will debut its Aston Martin Vantage GT3 for Jarett Andretti and Gabby Chaves, while Magnus Racing will return to action, also with an Aston.

Additionally, AO Racing, which failed to start last month’s Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach due to an accident by PJ Hyett in qualifying, is also listed to take part.

Julien Andlauder, meanwhile, is listed in the No. 90 Kellymoss with Riley Porsche 911 GT3 R, filling in for David Brule.

The first two-hour and 40-minute race of the WeatherTech Championship season is set for May 14, with live coverage on NBC.
