The Acura NSX GT3 has been given a weight increase ahead of next weekend’s Sahlen’s Six Hours of The Glen, in the only significant Balance of Performance adjustment ahead of the sixth round of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship season.
IMSA confirmed Thursday the BoP tables for Watkins Glen, which sees the Detroit class-winning Acura gain 10kg, bringing the car’s minimum weight up to 1320kg.
No other changes have been made to the GTD class, aside from a 2 liter fuel capacity reduction for the BMW M6 GT3.
A total of four GT3-spec Acuras will be on the grid for the third round of the Tequila Patron North American Endurance Cup, with the two Meyer Shank Racing cars being joined by the returning CJ Wilson Racing and HART entries.
The BoP in the Prototype class is also largely unchanged, with only 2 liter fuel decreases for both the Acura ARX-05 and Cadillac DPi-V.R.
No changes have been announced for the GT Le Mans class.
