The Aston Martin Vantage GT3 has been hit with a decrease in power for next weekend’s Michelin GT Challenge at Virginia International Raceway.
Confirmed in the latest Balance of Performance issued by IMSA on Wednesday, the Aston will face a 12-horsepower decrease compared to the configuration it ran in the most recent round at Road America.
Additionally, the car will have a 4-liter reduction in fuel capacity to compensate for the power loss.
No other BoP changes have been made across the production-based categories.
Aston Martin squad The Heart of Racing enters next weekend’s GT-only race on the heels of back-to-back GTD Pro class victories, with its GTD class Aston having also won at Lime Rock Park.
