Former Isotta Fraschini Hypercar driver Carl Wattana Bennett has completed Van der Steur Racing’s lineup for next weekend’s Rolex 24 at Daytona.

The team confirmed on social media on Tuesday afternoon that the 21-year-old Thai-American racer will join the previously announced pairing of Rory van der Steur and Valentine Hasse-Clot, as well as Sebastien Baud in the team’s GTD class Aston Martin Vantage GT3 Evo in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship season opener.

While having made five starts in the FIA World Endurance Championship in 2024, Bennett also has more recent experience from several Mustang Challenge North America and European Le Mans Series outings and is currently competing in the 2025-26 Asian Le Mans Series season in an AF Corse Ferrari 296 GT3 with his father, Gregory, and Italian pilot Tommaso Mosca.

With RLL Team McLaren confirming its full driving squad also on Tuesday, the fourth driver at van der Steur is believed to have been the final seat that was still left to be announced out of the 60-car entry.
