The Canadian Tire Motorsport Park class-winning BMW M6 GT3 has been pegged back ahead of next weekend’s Northeast Grand Prix at Lime Rock Park.
Confirmed in IMSA’s latest Balance of Performance revisions on Thursday, the Turner Motorsport entry has received a reduction in turbo boost pressures across all RPM levels.
The 8.9 kW average power delta decrease equates to a 12 horsepower loss.
The car has also been given a 2-liter reduction in fuel capacity, to compensate for the reduced power.
Other changes to the GT Daytona class include a 10 kg weight break for the Ferrari 488 GT3 and a 5 kg reduction for the Porsche 911 GT3 R.
No changes appear to have been made to the GT Le Mans class, which is now expected to remain in the same configuration as seen last weekend.
A total of 21 cars are on the entry list for the GT-only race on July 20.
