Matt Campbell secured his first pole position in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship by going quickest in qualifying for the FCP Euro Northeast Grand Prix at Lime Rock Park.

The Australian reeled off a best lap of 51.079 seconds behind the wheel of the No. 9 Pfaff Motorsports Porsche 911 GT3 R to lead the session.

Campbell’s quickest lap was just 0.018 seconds faster than a returning Jack Hawksworth, who put Vasser Sullivan’s No. 14 Lexus RC F GT3 second on the grid.

Hawksworth’s best lap of 51.097 came after Campbell had already posted his best lap. The Briton subsequently tried to unseat the Porsche from the top of the timing sheets, but failed to do so.

Connor De Phillippi put in a late improvement and set a 51.227-second lap to go third for BMW M Team RLL, which dropped Heart of Racing Team’s Ross Gunn to fourth.

Gunn sat at the top of the timing sheets for some time, with the team even briefly holding the top spot in both classes before improvement from Campbell, Hawksworth and De Phillippi resulted in fourth place for the No. 23 Aston Martin Vantage GT3.

Jordan Taylor rounded out the class for Corvette Racing, 0.223 seconds from pole.

Pole position in the GTD class went to the No. 12 Lexus RC F GT3 of Frankie Montecalvo.

The Vasser Sullivan driver took the top spot in class by posting a best lap of 51.459.

Montecalvo outpaced the No. 39 CarBahn with Peregrine Racing Lamborghini Huracan GT3 Evo of Robert Megennis by just 0.006 seconds.

Roman De Angelis qualified third for Heart of Racing as just 0.018 seconds separated the top three runners.

Robby Foley took fourth for Turner Motorsport, with a late improvement from Stevan McAleer promoting the No. 32 Team Korthoff Motorsports Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo fifth in class.

That subsequently left Russell Ward sixth in the No. 57 Winward Racing Mercedes, who led Paul Miller Racing’s Madison Snow and Rick Ware Racing’s Aidan Read, respectively.

Cooper MacNeil qualified ninth in class upon his return to the GTD class, with the field rounded out by the No. 16 Wright Motorsports Porsche of Ryan Hardwick.

The FCP Euro Northeast Grand Prix at Lime Rock Park kicks off at 3:10 p.m. ET.
