Matteo Cressoni will join Scuderia Corsa for the Tequila Patron North American Endurance Cup races in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship.
The 32-year-old Silver-rated Italian announced on social media that he will be joining newly crowned GT Daytona class champions Alessandro Balzan and Christina Nielsen in the team’s Ferrari 488 GT3 car for the four-round program, which kicks off with the Rolex 24 at Daytona in January.
Cressoni replaces Jeff Segal in the lineup, who has moved to a full-season drive with the Michael Shank Racing Acura NSX GT3 effort, and has since been upgraded from Silver to Gold driver rating.
Balzan, Nielsen and Segal claimed class victories at the Twelve Hours of Sebring and Six Hours of The Glen this year, en route to collecting the drivers’ and teams’ championships.
