Di Resta Set for Sebring, Watkins Glen with United Autosports

Paul di Resta will return to United Autosports for the Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring and Sahlen’s Six Hours of The Glen, following his appearance in last month’s Rolex 24 at Daytona.

The Scot will race alongside Phil Hanson and Bruno Senna in the second and third rounds of the Tequila Patron North American Endurance Cup.

The 2010 DTM champion finished fourth with the team at Daytona, alongside Senna, Will Owen and Hugo de Sadeleer in the No. 32 Ligier JS P217 Gibson.

Di Resta, Senna and Hanson are all included on the entry list for next week’s IMSA test at Sebring, which was released on Wednesday.

“I’m massively excited to be taking on some more races in IMSA,” said Di Resta.

“After the success we had in Daytona and what could have been, I’ve really got the bug for doing more and why not be part of it with United Autosports where it all started.

“It’s a new task for the team racing out in America and there’s lots going on, but being part of that back in the car alongside Bruno and Phil is great.

“There’s plenty of work to do and I’m looking forward to undertaking these two races and seeing what it leads to.

“Hopefully we can have a great result and the team can work together to get the best out of it.”

Petit Le Mans Lineup Undecided Due to Fuji Clash

The team will complete the four-round NAEC although its lineup for October’s Motul Petit Le Mans is yet to be decided.

The clash between the ten-hour Road Atlanta enduro and the FIA World Endurance Championship’s Six Hours of Fuji prevents Senna from competing in Petit Le Mans with his Rebellion Racing LMP1 commitments taking priority.

Di Resta, meanwhile, also has a clash that weekend with the DTM finale at Hockenheim.

Hanson is currently therefore the team’s only confirmed driver for the October race.
