DTM Champion Guven Joins Manthey GTD Pro Lineup

Reigning DTM champion and newly promoted Porsche factory driver Ayhancan Guven will complete the lineup in Manthey Racing’s GTD Pro class entry for this month’s Rolex 24 at Daytona.

The Turkish driver will join Thomas Preining, Klaus Bachler and Ricardo Feller in the No. 911 Porsche 911 GT3 R Evo for the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship season opener.

Guven made his WeatherTech Championship and Rolex 24 debut last year, finishing second in the GTD class in Wright Motorsports’ Porsche.

Manthey’s GTD entry, meanwhile, will be driven by Ryan Hardwick, Riccardo Pera, Richard Lietz and Morris Schuring, as previously announced.

Both cars are entered for the Michelin Endurance Cup races, in what will mark the legendary German team’s foray into IMSA competition.
