Felipe Fraga, Sheena Monk and Jenson Altzman have been confirmed as drivers for the new Myers Riley Motorsports Ford Mustang GT3 effort in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship.

Fraga, a longtime member of the Riley organization, will be in the team’s GTD entry for the full season, while Monk and Altzman are currently confirmed for the Michelin Endurance Cup races.

A fourth driver for the season-opening Rolex 24 at Dayton has yet to be announced.

Sportscar365 understands that Monk could potentially contest the full season in the car, as an effort for the Bronze-rated driver to pursue the Bob Akin Trophy, which awards an automatic invite to the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

Car owner Ross Myers told Sportscar365 that it’s the team’s goal to contest the French endurance classic, with an auto-invite from IMSA understood to be the most logical pathway.

“Over the years working together, Felipe’s race craft and tenacity have made him into a force to be reckoned with on track,” said Bill Riley.

“Aligning Felipe with Jenson, whose Ford racing track record is equally impressive, alongside Sheena’s years of progressive IMSA competition, really makes for a formidable line-up in this season’s championship.

“We can’t wait to put the incredible Mustang GT3 through her paces with this team behind the wheel.”

Monk, formerly of Gradient Racing, was due to run a full season campaign with Triarsi Competizione this year before the two parted way prior to the Sahlen’s Six Hours of The Glen.

“As a proud American, there’s something deeply meaningful about racing a Ford Mustang once again,” said Monk. “I am eager to build momentum alongside my new teammates and represent Myers Riley [Motorsports] with the determination this program deserves.”

Ford Racing Junior Team driver Altzman, meanwhile, will trade this season’s sprint race effort in Gradient’s Mustang GT3 to tackle the five Endurance Cup rounds for the first time with the Bill Riley-led squad.

“It’s incredible to see so much success come out of the support that Ford continues to put in and it’s truly an honor to be part of this program,” added Altzman.

While more recently known for his success in the LMP2 and LMP3 ranks with Riley, Fraga also holds extensive GT experience, primarily with Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo machinery.

Fraga had been Gar Robinson’s long-standing co-driver in the WeatherTech Championship but became available for the team’s new venture after Robinson elected to shift his focus to off-road racing next year.

The team will debut its new Mustang GT3 in next weekend’s IMSA-sanctioned test at Daytona International Speedway.
