McLaren factory driver Tom Gamble will join Inception Racing for the Rolex 24 at Daytona, with the team fielding an otherwise unchanged driver crew in GTD next year.
Gamble will team up with Brendan Iribe, Frederik Schandorff and Ollie Millroy aboard the Optimum Motorsport-operated McLaren 720S GT3 Evo.
It marks Gamble’s second appearance at the Florida endurance classic, after he made his event debut in 2022 as part of The Heart of Racing’s GTD squad.
In addition to two further Michelin Endurance Cup starts with the Ian James-led team that year, Gamble also drove for United Autosports at Motul Petit Le Mans in 2021.
The British racer made one previous 24-hour race appearance with Optimum, which resulted in a Gold Cup class win at the CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa in July of this year.
Inception enters the 2024 season with an unchanged lineup for the remainder of the campaign, with Iribe, Schandorff and Millroy all continuing with the team.
Bronze-rated Iribe will partner up with Danish racer Schandorff to form the full season lineup, while Millroy joins the team for the five Endurance Cup events.
