Gilbert Korthoff Motorsports is planning a full season IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship program with its Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo.

The veteran LMP3 squad, which made four starts in the GT Daytona class in 2021, has submitted a full-season entry that will begin next month with the team’s Rolex 24 at Daytona debut.

Guy Cosmo, Mike Skeen, Stevan McAleer and Scott Andrews have been confirmed as drivers for the season-opener.

Cosmo competed in all four races with the Florida-based team this year while Skeen joined on for the rounds at Virginia International Raceway and season-ending Motul Petit Le Mans, which saw McAleer make his debut as a third driver.

Confirmation of the increased effort has come from team co-owner Henry Gilbert on social media.

Gilbert Korthoff is expected to join Winward Racing as full-time entrants with the Mercedes, although the status of occasional 2021 runner Alegra Motorsports is unclear at this time.
