Honda Performance Development has placed Wayne Taylor Racing’s Acura ARX-05 DPi car up for sale, in a first for a turn-key modern-era Honda or Acura-powered prototype.
The car, which finished runner-up in the 2022 IMSA DPi championship with four wins on the WeatherTech SportsCar Championship season, is understood to be the first of its kind to be offered for sale complete with an HPD-built engine.
As of Friday morning, the current bid is at $350,000 USD.
The ORECA-chassied prototype, No. 007, was assembled by WTR in December 2021 and was campaigned for the full WeatherTech Championship season that netted victories for Ricky Taylor and Filipe Albuquerque at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca, Mid-Ohio, Watkins Glen International and Road America.
According to the listing on website Bring A Trailer, it accumulated 11,000 miles over the season.
WTR and fellow factory Acura squad Meyer Shank Racing will be debuting the new Acura ARX-06 LMDh car in next month’s Rolex 24 at Daytona.
