Inter Europol Competition will field a standalone LMP2 entry in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship in 2025, the team has announced.

The Polish-flagged operation moved to full-season WeatherTech Championship competition this year by forming a partnership with PR1/Mathiasen Motorsports.

Nick Boulle and Tom Dillmann currently lead the standings with two races remaining, having taken victory at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park in July.

On Monday, Inter Europol confirmed that it will retain its presence in the WeatherTech Championship by securing a standalone LMP2 entry with its No. 43 Oreca 07 Gibson.

Furthermore, the team is also set to return to the Asian Le Mans Series with a two-car effort, fielding one LMP2 and one LMP3 entry.

“We’re happy to be back in the Asian Le Mans Series 2024/25, and it’ll be a program of LMP2 and LMP3,” said team manager Sascha Fassbender.

“Additionally, we’re thrilled to be participating in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship in 2025.

“This will be under ‘Inter Europol Competition’, and we will set up our base in the United States for this program. We’re all looking forward to this new challenge for our team.

“The driver announcements will come later in the year, and yes, we could not be more excited for this new chapter as we continue to perform at such a high level and grow our team.”

No word has been given on the future of PR1/Mathiasen’s program in LMP2.
