Jr III Racing will contest the full IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship in the LMP3 class next year with drivers Ari Balogh and Garett Grist.
The North Carolina-based team, which is making its second series start in this weekend’s Motul Petit Le Mans, will field a Ligier JS P320 Nissan full-time in 2022.
Balogh and Grist are joined by Spencer Pigot for this weekend’s ten-hour season finale.
“I am thrilled to be representing Jr III Racing in the IMSA WeatherTech Sports Car Championship next season,” said Grist.
“Becoming a part of this team has been seamless and everyone works at a high professional level.
“Ari and I have shown that we are capable of contending for wins and by taking this partnership that we have to IMSA WeatherTech Sports Car Championship we will be in a great position to represent Jr III Racing well.”
In addition to a step up to full-time WeatherTech Championship competition, the team will continue its two-car program in IMSA Prototype Challenge next year, one which Balough and Grist will also compete in.
