There has been no shortage of developments from OAK Racing thus far in 2014, and the team’s new American challenge could have more news soon.

The Philippe Dumas-led team’s Morgan Nissan has a lineup of Olivier Pla, Roman Rusinov, Gustavo Yacaman and Oliver Webb for the Rolex 24 at Daytona, and is closing on the full-season lineup.

Yacaman is confirmed thus far for the full season, and it is anticipated that Webb will join him for the duration. Pla would contest the North American Endurance Cup races, while Rusinov is only confirmed for Daytona.

“At present, only Gustavo Yacaman is confirmed in the crew but he is on track to be supported by Oliver Webb,” Dumas said. “Olivier (Pla) will come in for reinforcement on the long runs.”

Dumas is optimistic that the OAK team’s Morgan Nissan will improve over the course of the full season.

“On paper, the crew is really good,” he said. “We’re experiencing the different BoP and now we do not really know what will happen, even if it goes in the right direction. In terms of regularity and reliability though, we have a chance.”

He added, “Here, we fight for the general and not a category. It’s a different philosophy, but also a different pressure. The whole team is happy to be there.”

OAK is scheduled for an ambitious program in 2014 between the Rolex 24 at Daytona and TUDOR United SportsCar Championship, construction of a new LMP2 with Ligier the Asian Le Mans Series and/or the FIA World Endurance Championship.
