Sean Rayhall will join 3GT Racing for next month’s Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring, as well as the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship season-ending Motul Petit Le Mans, it has been confirmed.
The reigning European Le Mans Series LMP3 champion has taken the seat of the newly-retired Scott Pruett in the No. 15 Lexus RC F GT3 alongside full-season drivers Jack Hawksworth and David Heinemeier Hansson for the two Tequila Patron North American Endurance Cup races.
3GT’s sister Lexus remains with an unchanged lineup of Kyle Marcelli and Dominik Baumann and Philipp Frommenwiler for Sebring.
Rayhall, who made his GT Daytona class debut in last month’s Rolex 24 at Daytona with HART, is expected to get his first laps in the Lexus at this week’s IMSA-sanctioned Sebring Test.
The Silver-rated driver has previous WeatherTech Championship experience in both the Prototype and Prototype Challenge ranks, most recently with the DeltaWing in 2016.
