Roar Entry Grows to 55 Cars

The entry list for this weekend’s Roar Before the 24 has grown to 55 entries, with five additional cars now confirmed for the mandatory test in the buildup to the 55th annual Rolex 24 at Daytona later this month.

The majority of entries also now feature confirmed driver lineups, following the release of the preliminary entry list on Tuesday.

ENTRY LIST: Roar Before 24

The Prototype Challenge class has expanded to five total entries, following the initial two, with the addition of the two Starworks Motorsport and single Performance Tech Motorsports Oreca FLM09s.

Ben Keating is listed in the No. 8 Starworks entry alongside John Falb, and is poised to pull double-duty between the PC entry and his No. 33 Riley Motorsports Team AMG Mercedes-AMG GT3 in the GT Daytona class.

GTD, meanwhile, sees the addition of two entries in the No. 23 Alex Job Racing Audi R8 LMS for Bill Sweedler, Townsend Bell, Frankie Montecalvo and Pierre Kaffer, and a Lamborghini Huracan GT3 for DAC Motorsports with a to-be-announced driver lineup.

The Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo squad is understood to be stepping up to a full-season program, with the AJR Audi confirmed for the Tequila Patron North American Endurance Cup races only.

Track action at Daytona gets underway on Friday and runs through Sunday.
