SunEnergy1 Racing will make its IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship return in next month’s Battle on the Bricks at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

Team owner/driver Kenny Habul confirmed to Sportscar365 that his team will be entering its Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo in the fourth round of the Michelin Endurance Cup season.

It will mark the team’s second WeatherTech Championship start of the year after taking part in the GTD Pro class in the season-opening Rolex 24 at Daytona with Habul, Jules Gounon, Maro Engel and Luca Stolz.

The team’s driver lineup for Indy, beyond Bronze-rated driver Habul, has yet to be announced.

The run in the six-hour contest will serve as a precursor for the team’s appearance in the Intercontinental GT Challenge season-ending Indianapolis 8 Hour presented by AWS.

SunEnergy1 Racing missed the last two IGTC rounds at the Nürburgring and Spa-Francorchamps due to Habul’s business commitments.
