Danny Formal was quickest in the second Lamborghini Super Trofeo North America practice session of the weekend at Circuit of The Americas.

The Wayne Taylor Racing with Andretti driver took his No. 1 Lamborghini Huracan Super Trofeo EVO2 to a best lap of 2:07.299 in Friday afternoon’s 45-minute session.

It was 454 seconds quicker than the No. 88 TR3 Racing Lamborghini of Giano Taurino, who topped the time charts on Friday morning but was slower than Formal’s pace-setting lap in the afternoon.

The No. 4 ANSA Motorsports entry of Nico Jamin and Kiko Porto was third quickest overall and in the Pro class in the second session.

Nick Persing made a late-session improvement to go quickest in Pro-Am in his No. 8 WTRAndretti Lamborghini, ahead of Patrick Liddy’s No. 72 Forte Racing entry in fifth overall and second in class.

The No. 50 Forte Racing Lamborghini of Connor Bloum topped the Am class while TPC Racing’s Mark Brummond paced LB Cup.

The session saw a single red flag, for an incident by the No. 77 Forty7 Motorsports entry of Keawn Tandon in Turn 5.

Qualifying is set to get underway Saturday at 9:30 a.m. CDT, followed by Race 1 of the weekend at 6:10 p.m. CDT, which will be streamed live on Peacock and IMSA.tv.
