Noaker Storms to Pole for Race 1 at Road America

Robert Noaker continued his top form in Mustang Challenge, claiming pole for the first race of the weekend at Road America.

The Robert Noaker Racing team owner/driver reeled off a best lap of 2:17.857 in his No. 13 Ford Mustang Dark Horse R to outpace the competition by more than one-second.

It marked Noaker’s eighth career series pole.

Devin Anderson qualified second in the No. 22 TechSport entry, followed by RNR’s Sandy Satullo in third.

Ford Performance Junior Team driver Sam Paley, in his series return, qualified fourth, with Marcos Vento completing the overall and top-five in the Dark Horse class.

Dark Horse Legends class pole honors went to the No. 33 Spark Performance Mustang of Alex Bachoura, who edged out TechSport’s Alfonso Diaz by 0.898 seconds.

Zachry Lee will start third in class aboard his McCumbee McAleer Racing entry.

Race 1 for Mustang Challenge gets underway Saturday at 8 a.m. CST with live coverage on Peacock as well as Ford Performance and IMSA’s YouTube channels.
