Seb Priaulx has scored the first-ever pole position for Porsche Carrera Cup North America, with the Kelly-Moss Road and Race driver continuing his foothold at the top of the time charts at Sebring.

Priaulx reeled off a 2:03.109 in qualifying in his No. 15 Porsche 911 GT3 Cup Car to edge out 311RS Motorsport’s Leh Keen by 0.041 seconds in Thursday’s 30-minute qualifying session.

Kay van Berlo, in a second Kelly-Moss Type-992 Porsche, will roll off from third on the grid for Race 1 followed by fellow Porsche North America Junior Riley Dickinson in fourth in the best of the Team Hardpoint EBM entries.

Max Root completed the top-five overall and in the Pro class, aboard his joint Wright Motorsports-Moorespeed entry.

Pro-Am class pole honors went to the No. 65 Hardpoint EBM Porsche of Efrin Castro, who qualified 13th overall in the 34-car field.

Castro edged out Alan Metni, who paced Wednesday’s opening practice in the No. 99 Kelly-Moss Porsche.

Kurt Hunt, meanwhile, claimed top qualifying honors in the Pro-Am 991 class, for previous-generation Porsche 911 GT3 Cup machinery.
